Alzheimer’s disease is becoming a serious issue around the world.  Researchers have been searching unsuccessfully for a cure or a treatment to even maintain or halt the progression of this mind consuming disease.

It’s a global catastrophe.  David Cameron, former Prime Minister of the UK commented on it’s staggering impact on individuals, their families and to society.   Norway has initiated a public-private partnerships to explore possible treatments.  Bill Gates acknowledge that the costs of Alzheimer’s continues to rise and has exceeded $236 billion per year.

On this day, let us all be thankful for the bright minds and creative researchers who continue to pursue the causal agents that foster the starting grounds for this disease with hopes of finding common conditions that can then be addressed.
